I have been a Realtor in the Lake Gaston area since 1990 and five generations of my family have lived in this area. I first began selling land and managing my family's lakefront development FernCliff, which was one of the first subdivisions created on the lake in the early 1970's. We then went on to develop Thornton Place, another lake front subdivision located on the western end of the lake.
I am a wife, a "Mother" and a daughter. I have been married to Duane White for twenty years and a "Mother" to our two dogs, Lola and Spotswood and our cat, Tigger. I am the only child of George and Betsy Medlin. Although my Father died in 1975, my Mother is still going strong and continues to be involved in real estate.
I hold a Broker's license in North Carolina and Virginia and have been the owner of Gaston Pointe Properties since 1998 - a small boutique styled real estate firm specializing in selling homes and lots on Lake Gaston. Our newest project, Southpointe Townhomes is one of our newest featured properties located on the main lake at the Eaton's Ferry Bridge.
I have served in many different positions on the Board of Realtors and the Multiple Listing Board for Lake Gaston and the Roanoke Valley since 2000. I was voted by my peers as Realtor of the Year in 2015. I hold the Accredited Buyers Agent designation as well as the Short Sale and Foreclosure designation. I also serve on the board of several homeowners associations and am a member of the Littleton United Methodist Church.
I will always consider it a privilege to have the opportunity to show you Lake Gaston and assist you in achieving your housing objectives.
Teresa Seay Peters (Teri) is a co-owner with her husband of Seay Builders Inc., a construction company on Lake Gaston specializing in Design-Build Custom Homes. She and her husband, Doug started out on the Outer Banks of North Carolina where they operated for over 10 years. It was while living in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina that Teri got interested in real estate sales and was licensed as a broker in October of 1980. She worked in sales with Twiddy & Company and grew their family of two to a family of five before relocating in January of 1988 to Lake Gaston!
Teri continued to work in the construction company meeting with clients for design, obtaining building permits, computer bookkeeping, and helping with the many selections that go with building a home. She also worked in sales as an agent between 1991-1993 and worked for a lake developer between 1996-1999.
After she and her husband finished raising their family and sending them off to college and marriage, Teri decided to once again work in real estate sales. She was invited by me in 2016 to come and join Gaston Pointe Properties in a new townhome project called Southpointe Townhomes. Teri brings her construction and design experience to this duo along with her learned computer skills.
In her downtime, she enjoys church, the lake, the ocean, cooking and spending time with her ever growing family.
